That Eerie Glow
Koram grimaced as the adventurers walked into the strange glowing mist. Chalk mumbled a spell as the others drew their weapons.
‘What strange land, everything glows but the stars above!’ Koram commented.
As time went by the wanderers began to grow tired.
‘Oh, this is bad, we re going in circles! I recognize that stump over there!’ Valance exclaimed.
‘How do you know?’ Chalk asked.
‘I carved a little spider on it as we rested,’ was the reply.
‘Fair enough. We need to figure a way out of this mess!’
That Eerie Glow (Arcane)
Range: 100′ radius per level
Duration: One hour per level of caster.
This spell causes everything in a certain area to glow a strange shade of green, blue, any color the caster desires, this causes vision to drop to roughly 15′ for all means of vision. This glow causes Confusion (as per the spell) to all creatures with less than 2HD and any outdoor adventurers navigating by the stars are hopelessly lost as the stars above are too faint to use as a guide. It is not unknown for some wizard guilds to have sorcerers taking turns casting this spell to protect themselves.
